 Communications

Michelle Tayler,  Communications Manager
Areas of expertise: - Internal and external communications including brand, communications, PR, media, websites, intranet, stakeholder management, events, publications etc.

Finance

Sarah Hardy, Manager, Finance and Strategic Planning
Areas of expertise:- Performance frameworks, performance monitoring and reporting.  Business case development and evaluation.  Database development for performance measurement and monitoring.  Risk management, business continuity planning and internal assurance.  Internal controls, liaising with Audit New Zealand, financial policy and procedure development,  Treasury instructions, budget issues and funding policy and new initiative advice.  Financial and non-financial accountability reporting, taxation - GST and FBT.

Rob Greenfield, Senior Governance Adviser
Areas of expertise: - Appointment processes, appointment nominations, fees framework, Crown governance, inductions, board appraisals, governance support, board policies and governance best practice.

Human Resources

John Rapley, HR Manager
Area of expertise:- experience working in the Crown environment in particular with recruitment and selection, training and development, performance, remuneration, employee relations etc.

Information Management

Paul Stone Chief Information Officer
Areas of expertise : - Technology, Records Management,  EDRMS, Web, Information Management, Procurement, Contracts.

Legal

Nerissa Barber, Chief Legal Adviser
Area of expertise:- Legal, experience include over five years at SSC, prior to that experience in the Crown Law Office and private practice. Interests span public law, contracts law, machinery of government issues, information technology law, machinery of government issues, information technology law, human rights law, privacy law, general litigation and employment law.
Able to answer questions on/or assist with:- the convening of meetings with lawyers in our sector.

Under Law Society rules there are restrictions on advice that can be offered outside the Ministry.
