International Residencies
Craft/Object Art International Residency

Duration: To be determined by the artist.
Value: $20,000 including stipend, travel accommodation and studio fees.
Criteria: Craft/Object artists currently working and exhibiting in New Zealand who are
New Zealand citizens, and have a track record.

Creative New Zealand Craft/Object Art Fellowship
Frequency: Annual
Duration: The recipient will be required to complete a project over a 12-month period.
Value: . $65,000
Criteria: Open to mid-career and senior New Zealand practitioners, curators and writers - ranging from jewellers, weavers and ceramicists through to furniture makers and designers. The fellowship is also open to curators and writers working in this field.

Nokia Art Awards
Frequency: Annual
Value: NZ prizes include a $5,000 cash grant and a Nokia mobile phone. The three winners of the New Zealand award will go on to compete at the Asia-Pacific regional final.
Criteria: Two-dimensional painting or mixed media (excluding
photography).
Who: Open to any tertiary enrolled students aged 17-25.

Norsewear Art Award

Purpose: To promote a national contemporary award for high quality contemporary art.

- Emergent artist award:
Purpose: The awards aim to encourage the ceramic arts in New Zealand and to reward those producing outstanding work. They provide a platform where ceramics are given the recognition they deserve and fosters a healthy dialogue between practitioner, collector, critic and the public.
Criteria: Work entered for this award must not have been exhibited anywhere previously. All works are to be ceramic (fired clay). Mixed media is permitted provided the ceramic proportion is significant.
