To apply for a Heritage EQUIP grant, complete an application form and submit it to the Ministry for Culture and Heritage.

An expert advisory panel meet three times a year to assess applications.  Application forms can be submitted any time, however the next close-off date for applications to be considered by our funding panel is 21 August 2017.

  • Heritage EQUIP Guide for Applicants - outlines the information expected in your application and the supporting material you'll need to provide
  • Heritage EQUIP Retrofit Application Form - use this form for smaller seismic strengthening projects (requests for funding up to $25,000) focused on addressing specific building parts or retrofit solutions for common hazards
  • Heritage EQUIP Major Works Application Form - use this form for seismic strengthening projects which propose comprehensive strengthening solutions, including large scale or staged projects
  • Expression of Interest Form - if you are not ready to apply, we encourage you to submit an Expression of Interest to indicate to the Heritage EQUIP panel that you are likely to apply in the future. Based on the information you provide, we will be able to tell you if you would be eligible for funding and can inform you of the dates for application assessments. Expressions of Interest will also provide an informal indication to the Fund Advisor about potential demand on the fund in the future. Expressions of Interest may be submitted at any time

Applications must be submitted in two formats:

  • A digital copy of the application should be supplied. Digital copies can be provided on a USB flash-drive, or by providing a link to your documents held on a web-based document sharing platform. Please be aware that security of any application information provided via a third party platform (including personal information) is your sole responsibility. Electronic documents should be indexed in the same manner as the paper-based copy of the application.
  • A paper copy of the full application should be provided for reading and mark-up purposes. Please do not use folders or binders to present your application as applications need to be photocopied. Paperclips can be used to indicate that particular pages should be looked at together.
