Going Digital is urging people who are eligible for the Targeted Assistance Package to phone now to take up the package and get their installation organised.
The South Island will be going digital on 28 April 2013 and more than nine out of ten South Island households are already taking full advantage of the going digital benefits. But if remaining don't take action before then you will not be able to watch TV.
The Going Digital Targeted Assistance Package provides help for those groups most likely to face the greatest technical and financial challenges - but in order to have an installation completed before the deadline, people need to call Going Digital before 5pm on Thursday 28 March.
People who are eligible for the package are not yet watching digital TV and are:
- aged 75 and over with a Community Services Card; or
- recipients of a Veteran’s Pension or Invalids’ Benefit; or
- former Veteran’s Pension and Invalid’s Benefit recipients who transferred to NZ Superannuation at age 65 or over.
To check if you qualify and to take up the assistance package call Going Digital on 0800 838 801 and speak with one of the team during the week between 8.30am and 5pm.
