Here at the Ministry for Culture and Heritage we’ve worked hard to create a work environment and culture that is stimulating, innovative and engaging. In order for our staff to get the most out of their career with us we offer a range of professional development opportunities, flexible working hours and a focus on employee wellbeing.
We understand that continual learning is essential in this changing work environment, and therefore place great importance on nurturing and developing our staff. We offer a range of internal and external training courses, together with secondment opportunities and project work that will help you in your role and broader career.
We also offer Academic Study Assistance to help you to further your studies and support you into a challenging and enjoyable career with us.
Flexible Working Environment
We understand that as individuals we all have different needs and we have a range of choices to help accommodate these: family or personal commitments may mean that you need to work from home from time to time so we offer flexible working conditions; we also offer a range of generous leave options including the option to purchase additional leave.
When you join the Ministry we will make sure you are fully equipped and comfortable at your desk by offering a workstation assessment by a trained occupational nurse. You also have the option to join our group health insurance scheme with Southern Cross and have access to the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) which offers free and confidential counselling should you need it.
We believe that being a small Ministry has its advantages. The internal culture we have created is inclusive, supportive and welcoming and you will find yourself surrounded by people who are proud and enthusiastic about the Ministry’s work and goals. We have an active social committee, sports team amongst other special interest groups that you will be encouraged and welcomed to join.
