Producer, screenwriter and experienced governor Dr Christina Milligan (Ngāti Porou) has been appointed to the Board of NZ On Air for a three-year term.

Christina brings a wealth of screen industry experience to this position, alongside significant skills in governance and strategic oversight.

As well as her active producing career, Christina is also a Senior Lecturer in Screen Production at Auckland University of Technology. In her academic career, she researches indigenous screen production, screenwriting studies and media industry studies.

Christina has previously been a Board member of the New Zealand Film Commission, Script to Screen and Ngā Aho Whakaari (Māori in Screen) and was the Independent Chair of the Covid recovery fund Te Puna Kairangi Production Fund.

Experienced film and entertainment lawyer John McCay has also been reappointed to the Board until June 2024.
