'National Flag

Selected by the assembled Chiefs of New Zealand in presence of George R[obert] Lambert Esqre Captain of His Majesty's Ship Alligator and James Busby Esqre British Res[ident] Wyatanga, Bay of Islands. 20th of March 1834. '
