Protected Objects Act - Taonga Tūturu, public notices
The Ministry publishes public notices calling for claims of
ownership of taonga tūturu. Claims should be lodged with the Ministry
within 60 working days of the public notice being published.
NOTICE OF TAONGA TŪTURU FOUND
Pursuant to section 11 of the Protected Objects Act 1975, the Ministry for Culture and Heritage has been notified of the finding of the following taonga tūturu:
- 2 x Matau / Fishhooks - Dummys Beach, Southland
Claims for ownership of the taonga tūturu are to be lodged with the Chief Executive within 60 working days from Saturday, 12 December 2009. More information can be obtained from the Ministry. Quote case: 2009/44
