The Chief Executive of the Ministry was accountable to the Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage for the production of the output classes detailed in the Statement of Service Performance, and for the efficient use of the resources invested by the Crown in the Ministry. Negotiated services were also provided to the Minister of Broadcasting, the Associate Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage, and the Minister for Sport and Recreation.
