NZHistory

Published 23 July, 2010 by History Group

NZHistory (NZHistory.net.nz) covers three broad themes in New Zealand history: culture and society, politics and government, and war and society.

NZHistory

If you’re working with history, teaching it or doing an oral history, check out the Hands On History section. There are links to guides, external websites and lots of other useful material. There’s also a media library and a calendar of New Zealand history events.

Join our mailing list to have news updates emailed to you or follow us on Twitter for the latest postings. Like our history, the site is a work in progress and there are many ways you can contribute your own images and comments.

NZHistory features a Memorial Register that has more than 450 memorials are currently listed.  Many more are to be added in the future.  Can you help? Click on the relevant location for a more detailed map and links to memorials from that area. To find information about individual New Zealand soldiers killed in war see the Auckland Museum's Cenotaph database.
