The construction of Pukeahu National War Memorial Park revealed a wealth of archaeological discoveries, some expected, others surprising.

Join Principal Archaeologists Sarah Phear and Richard Shakles from Underground Overground Archaeology for a special guided tour of the park. Hear firsthand about the excavation process, uncover the stories behind the artefacts, and view a selection of conserved items unearthed from beneath Pukeahu.

The tour begins at the fountain below the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.

Bookings are required.

This is an accessible tour. Bring clothing for the weather and any burning questions.

This is a partner event with Underground Overground Archaeology.
