Ngā Kōrero Tuku Iho, Piki Ake! Kake Ake! New Zealand Oral History Grants support community-led oral history projects that reflect diverse identities and perspectives.

The grants provide financial help for oral history projects that relate to the history of Aotearoa New Zealand and its close relationship with the Pacific.

Application deadline

Applications open on 2 June and close on 31 July 2026.

How your information will be used

We will use the information you provide to assess grant applications.

If you are successful your name, the title of your project, and the amount of money granted to you will be published by Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage.

By applying, you authorise us to disclose information to, or obtain information from, any other government department or agency, private person, or organisation for the purposes of assessing the application.

When we no longer need your information, we will securely archive or destroy it, in accordance with the Public Records Act 2005.

We will not publish any commercial or confidential information unless you agree in writing.
